TSRL

The TSRL is an electronic relay for switching transformers.

On the basis of its patented soft starting procedure, the relay activates one or several single-phase transformers in no-load operation or under load without inrush. This procedure avoids the inrush and does not only limit the same. Using the TSRL, transformers can be secured to their nominal current on the primary side quickly and thus can be protected ideally. Frequently switched transformers can be optimised with the help of TSRL, that is with up to 1.6T induction, and can be produced with low-loss sheet metals and low copper losses. Thus, transformers can be designed in a low-loss and more cost-efficient manner.

Installation of the TSRL

The transformer relay is installed simply between mains switch and transformer. However, the relay itself can be used as mains switch as well, if it is actuated using the control input. This does not result in any switching losses.
